Lynn
Ferris is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society
and the Florida Watercolor Society.
Before becoming a full time watercolorist, she worked as both
a commercial
and architectural illustrator. Lynn is also a show judge and instructor,
teaching both classes and workshops. Her limited edition prints have
been
featured nationally by the French Creek Sheep and Wool Company and
her watercolor entitled "the Group" appeared as cover art
on the
"Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association."
Lynn has participated in many one person and juried shows, where her
work has received numerous awards. Solo shows include The Leesburg
Center for the Arts, The Monongalia Arts Center, and This Century Gallery
in Williamsburg, VA. She was the subject of a feature article in "Watercolor" magazine,
published by American Artist. Lynn's work is also included in
the permanent collection of the Museum of Arts and
Sciences
in Daytona
Beach, Florida.
Her many awards include "Best of Show" at
both the 2007 Florida Watercolor Society Exhibit and the 2010 Tallahassee
Watercolor Society Tri-State Juried Exhibit. Most recently she was
selected to be included in the prestigious North Light publications
"Splash 12" and "Splash 13".
